Job Description
As a Procurement Category Manager at our leading global organization, your role will involve developing and executing comprehensive category strategies in alignment with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing $20M+ in annual category spend and delivering consistent year-over-year savings of 510%
- Leading end-to-end strategic sourcing events, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and implementation
- Negotiating favorable pricing, terms, SLAs, and contract provisions for complex, high-value agreements
- Building and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships through QBRs, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement programs
- Partnering with internal stakeholders across various functions to deliver procurement solutions that balance cost, risk, and innovation
- Monitoring market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply base changes to provide actionable intelligence
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring supplier compliance with regulatory requirements
- Driving process improvement initiatives and adoption of procurement best practices
Qualifications Required:
- 710 years of progressive procurement or category management experience in a corporate environment
- Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, should-cost modeling, TCO analysis, and supplier evaluation frameworks
- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success in complex, high-stakes commercial situations
- Advanced analytical and financial acumen, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and business case development
