Job Description

As a Business Development Manager at ePropelled, your role will involve identifying, engaging, and developing strategic partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, and fleets in the Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) space. You will be responsible for driving the adoption of ePropelled's innovative electric motors and motor controllers tailored for the LEV sector. The ideal candidate for this role is entrepreneurial, understands the dynamics of the LEV ecosystem, and has the technical acumen to articulate the product value to both engineering and commercial stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Business Development & Sales: - Identify and engage potential customers in the LEV market such as e-rickshaws, e-scooters, low-speed EVs, and delivery vehicles. - Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closure, including technical presentations and proposal development. - Manage partner onboarding, commercial negotiations, and ongoing account relationships. - Market Intelligence & Strategy: - Conduct competitive analysis and market segmentation to identify emerging trends and potential product fit. - Develop go-to-market strategies based on regional and application-specific insights. - Provide input into pricing models, business cases, and product positioning. - Customer Relationship Management: - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including OEM decision-makers, engineering teams, and procurement heads. - Gather and relay customer feedback to the product and engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities. - Cross-functional Collaboration: - Work closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and technical delivery. - Collaborate with application engineers to support product validation, integration, and post-sales support. - Sales Forecasting & Reporting: - Maintain CRM data, pipeline visibility, and report key performance metrics. - Track project development timelines and align business goals with delivery milestones. Tools & Technical Requirements: - Tools: - CRM Systems: Salesforce or equivalent. - Sales Tools: MS PowerPoint, Excel, HubSpot, or related tools. - Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence. - Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of BLDC/PMSM motors, inverters, and motor controller technologies. - Familiarity with voltage ranges (e.g., 48V72V), performance specs, and integration challenges in LEVs. - Ability to read basic technical drawings, product datasheets, and interface with R&D and application engineers. - Domain Knowledge: - In-depth exposure to the Light EV segment and its evolving regulatory, cost, and performance dynamics. - Understanding of homologation requirements and fleet electrification trends in India, APAC, and other emerging markets. In this role, you will have authority over revenue generation for the LEV segment, proposal, pricing strategy, and negotiation within assigned limits, partnership and distributor network development, customer escalation and support coordination, and strategic input on product-market fit and roadmap planning.
