Job Description
You will be joining as a Software Configuration Specialist with expertise in Benchling to support Experiment Design & Execution within Life Sciences R&D. Your primary responsibility will be to configure Benchling modules such as Notebook, Registry, Inventory, and Workflows. Additionally, you will be supporting experiment design and structured data capture for early R&D teams. Optimizing digital workflows for molecular biology, assay execution, and sample tracking will also be part of your role. You will be responsible for maintaining version-controlled configuration updates via GitHub and GitHub Actions. Collaboration with AWS/DevSecOps teams for deployments and integrations is also expected. Troubleshooting issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and applying a Six Sigma/automation mindset for continuous improvement are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Benchling Notebook, Registry, Inventory, and Workflows.
- Support experiment design and structured data capture for early R&D teams.
- Optimize digital workflows for molecular biology, assay execution, and sample tracking.
- Maintain version-controlled configuration updates via GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with AWS/DevSecOps teams for deployments and integrations.
- Troubleshoot issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Apply Six Sigma/automation mindset for continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required:
- Benchling configuration expertise (non-negotiable).
- Experience with early research workflows or lab operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- AWS fundamentals, DevSecOps familiarity, GitHub/GitHub Actions.
- Root-cause analysis and documentation skills.
