Backend Developer - Startup

Baby Destination is an investment backed Early Stage Startup in consumer tech domain focused towards providing personalized recommendation to new and expecting moms on all parenting related content and products. We get close to 2 lac visitors every month on web and have a reach in millions on our social media assets. If you are passionate about building a great product for millions of users then that you are the right place. **Role Overview:** As a Backend Developer at Baby Destination, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our APIs & database. Your role will involve ensuring all code is up to professional standard and production ready, managing code deployment, hosting, and caching. **Key Responsibilities:** - Minimum 2 years of professional working experience in backend development. - Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it. - Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. - Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. - Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications. - Implementation of security and data protection. - Integration of data storage solutions (databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.). - Strong proficiency with JavaScript. - Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its challenges. - Experience creating RESTful APIs and basic authentication mechanisms, such as Cookie authentication and JWT. - Love working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), solving complex problems. - Entrepreneurial drive to create successful products and contribute to open source code projects. - Fluent in English. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 2 years of professional working experience in backend development. - Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it. - Strong proficiency with JavaScript. - Experience creating RESTful APIs and basic authentication mechanisms. - Fluent in English.
