AWS Solution Architect - Cloud Solutions

As an experienced AWS Solution Architect, your role will involve a 50% focus on technical delivery and 50% on presales activities. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end AWS and DevOps solutions while also directly interacting with customers in a pre-sales capacity. Your location will be at a hybrid office in Pune, allowing for a mix of remote and in-person work. **Key Responsibilities:** **Mandatory:** - **Solution Design & Architecture:** - Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS cloud solutions tailored to diverse customer needs. - Design backend DevOps-enabled architectures, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automation, and monitoring solutions. - Translate customer business requirements into detailed technical architectures, roadmaps, and implementation plans. - Select optimal AWS services based on specific use cases, considering cost, performance, security, and scalability. - **Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership:** - Act as the primary technical advisor for AWS and DevOps engagements with customers. - Conduct technical discovery workshops, solution presentations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs). - Establish trusted advisor relationships with customer CXOs, architects, and technical leads. - Provide valuable thought leadership to customers regarding AWS best practices, cloud transformation strategies, and cost optimization. - **Pre-sales and Delivery Ownership:** - Engage with customers in pre-sales activities, confidently solutioning, leading pre-contract engagement cycles, and expertly interfacing with OEMs and customers. - Take complete ownership of AWS and DevOps project delivery from requirements gathering and design to deployment and handover. - Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure the implementation of solutions aligns with the design, is completed on time, and stays within budget. - Establish and enforce delivery governance practices to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with SLAs. - Manage delivery escalations, risks, and change requests effectively. **Recommended:** - **AWS OEM Engagement:** - Serve as the primary point of contact with AWS partner and OEM teams to develop joint go-to-market solution offerings. - Participate in AWS partner programs, competency assessments, and co-sell initiatives. - Stay updated on AWS product releases, services, and partner incentives to integrate into solution offerings. - Collaborate with AWS Partner Development Managers and Solution Architects to align on technology roadmaps and certifications. - **Best Practices, Standards & Enablement:** - Define and promote AWS and DevOps best practices internally and for customers. - Create reusable solution blueprints, reference architectures, and technical assets. - Mentor engineering teams to effectively implement AWS and DevOps solutions. - Contribute to capability building through certifications, training programs, and practice growth. **Required Skills & Experience:** - You should have at least 12 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 6 years in AWS Architecture & Solution delivery. - Demonstrated experience in customer-facing solution architecture and project delivery leadership. - Strong knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM, CloudFront, and related services. - Exposure to container orchestration, Serverless Architectures, and AI/ML services on AWS. - Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. **AWS Certification(s) required:** - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (Mandatory) - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional (Preferred) **Nice to have:** - Ability to collaborate with OEMs, specifically AWS, for joint solutioning, co-sell programs, and go-to-market strategies. - Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies. - Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR.
