As an AWS Data Architect - Leadership at our company, your role will involve driving the Data Engineering strategy, architecting scalable data solutions, and leading the implementation of data projects on AWS. Your deep understanding of AWS services and data engineering best practices will be essential in this position. **Responsibilities:** - **Technical Leadership:** - Act as a visionary leader, steering and motivating team members in data engagements. - Conduct proof-of-concept projects to explore strategic opportunities and recommend scalable solutions. - Make informed architectural decisions with a focus on customer needs. - Guide and mentor engineers, ensuring high code quality standards. - **Architecture and Design:** - Design scalable data solutions using AWS services. - Ensure data architecture aligns with business requirements and best practices. - Evaluate and select appropriate AWS services for data storage, processing, and analytics. - **Project Implementation:** - Oversee data engineering projects from inception to completion. - Engage with customers to offer thought leadership and ensure data quality and security. - **Technical Innovation:** - Stay updated with the latest data engineering and AWS technologies. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data engineering practices. - Experiment with new tools and technologies to improve data processing efficiency. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology. - 15+ years of technical hands-on experience in Data space. - Experience in end-to-end implementations of large-scale data projects. - Proficiency in AWS data services like Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, and more. - Strong understanding of AWS architecture and best practices. - Proficient in SQL and Python for data processing. - Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling. - Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Hadoop. - Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
