Assistant Professor Industrial Automation, IoT & Machine Learning

You will be working at the Bajaj Engineering Skill Training (BEST) Centre at Mahindra University, in partnership with Bajaj Auto Ltd., which is focused on Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things, and firmware development. **Role Overview:** As a faculty member at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, you will contribute to teaching and administrative activities at the Bajaj Engineering Skill Training (BEST) Centre. There are two faculty positions available - one in Industrial Automation and IoT, and the other in Machine Learning (ML) and IoT. **Key Responsibilities:** - Teach courses related to the Advanced Manufacturing and IoT division of the Centre. - Design, conduct, and upgrade laboratory experiments for courses offered by the Centre. - Oversee the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of equipment in laboratories associated with the Advanced Manufacturing and IoT division. - Evaluate students performance in both theory and laboratory courses. - Supervise undergraduate student projects. - Ensure optimal utilization of laboratory infrastructure. **Qualification Required:** **Faculty Position 1: - Industrial Automation and IoT** - Masters/PhD in Electrical/ Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering. - Experience in dealing with Hydraulic, Pneumatics, CNC machines and PLCs. - Expertise in few or most of the courses related to Controls, Embedded systems, sensors and actuators. - Programming skills: Python and C/C++. - Keen learn and implement new skills. **Faculty Position 2: - Machine Learning (ML) and IoT** - Masters/PhD in CSE/AI and ML for Industrial applications/Mechatronics and IoT. - Should have experience in implementation of Machine learning, deep learning algorithms and IoT protocols. - Expertise in few or most of the courses related to Machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, cyber physical systems and IoT. - Programming skills: Python and C/C++. - Keen learn and implement new skills. You should possess a strong academic background in the relevant engineering discipline, along with excellent teaching and communication skills. Hands-on experience in laboratory handling and the ability to train students in industrial technologies are essential.
