Job Description
As a Corporate Development Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in the inorganic growth strategy of the company. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential acquisition opportunities, creating financial models, assisting in the execution of M&A transactions, conducting market research and due diligence, analyzing potential acquisitions and divestitures, and coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead target search activity and maintain a database of potential targets and investment bankers
- Lead and/or support the execution of M&A transactions
- Build financial models to analyze potential transactions
- Collaborate with various teams within the company for target prospecting and transaction execution
- Create presentations and internal documents for reporting to executive management, the Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors
**Qualifications Required:**
- 4-6 years of M&A experience, with a proven track record of buyside deals
- Ability to understand business model drivers and identify risks/problem areas
- Strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel, experience in developing and managing complex models
- Familiarity with M&A processes, documentation, and artifacts
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and multitask effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to maintain a schedule that aligns with U.S. Eastern Time
