Job Description
As an Assistant General Manager (IR/ER) at our company in Aurangabad, you will play a crucial role in maintaining positive labor relations and fostering a harmonious workplace environment. Reporting to the Plant Head and Corporate HR, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic IR initiatives aligned with plant productivity and business objectives.
- Leading negotiations for long-term wage settlements and handling charter of demands.
- Resolving grievances, disciplinary issues, strikes, and lockouts while representing the company in front of labor authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws, maintaining statutory registers, and conducting domestic enquiries as per standing orders.
- Overseeing plant security operations, surveillance systems, safety initiatives, and accident investigations.
- Driving employee engagement, advising management on misconduct issues, and fostering a grievance-free culture.
Qualifications we are seeking:
- Masters Degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare, or MSW (HR), with a legal qualification being highly preferred.
- 15-20 years of experience in IR/ER in a manufacturing setting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a unionized workforce.
- Profound knowledge of Indian labor laws, collective bargaining, and conciliation procedures.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Marathi.
- Strong emotional intelligence, negotiation skills, and composure in high-pressure IR situations.
