Application Engineering Portfolio Technical Lead

Role Overview: You will be leading application engineering portfolios as a Technical Lead for internal Enterprise Technology service delivery at EY. As a key member of the solution delivery team, you will have the opportunity to design, build, implement, and manage in-house developed and SaaS solutions, focusing on business demands. Your role involves leading a team of engineers and owning the technical delivery of solutions for two portfolios within Enterprise Technology. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end technical delivery and support of 50 applications within the portfolio, including vendor SaaS solutions, in-house builds, custom-built interfaces, and low-code tools. - Maintain and design robust, high-performance enterprise software or SaaS solutions. - Ensure adherence to architectural standards, usability design standards, and product-specific guidelines. - Translate design and solution architecture deliverables into detailed design and build deliverables. - Oversee engineering activities across multiple projects by coordinating with developers, business teams, and project managers. - Work with project managers to ensure projects are executed on time, on budget, and with quality. - Ensure effective communication within the team and other IT groups; proactively raise and address issues. - Work closely with the production support team to ensure business as usual (BAU) of deployed applications. - Minimize technical exposure and risks on projects. - Create and maintain an application engineering resource plan, and provide input for technical resource sourcing and cost estimates. - Research and propose the most efficient and cost-effective technical solutions. - Collaborate with vendor applications and teams to integrate them into EY systems. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. - 15+ years of hands-on experience in architecture, design, build, and integration of scalable software solutions, with at least 5 years as a technical lead. - Ability to evaluate application architectures, strengths, and weaknesses. - Demonstrated experience in working with application vendors/external resource providers. - Fluency in English, both written and verbal. - Curiosity to align with the ever-changing technology trends.
