Application Engineer 3D Scanner

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer who specializes in 3D Scanning technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dimensional inspection, metrology, and the use of various precision measurement tools. This role requires an innovative thinker with the ability to apply knowledge and techniques in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) across various projects and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain 3D scanning equipment and software to capture precise measurements.
• Conduct dimensional inspection of complex parts and assemblies to ensure strict compliance with engineering specifications.
• Utilize GD&T principles to interpret and evaluate product designs and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze measurement data and create detailed reports to summarize findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and staff on the proper use of 3D scanning technology and data interpretation.
• Continuously update knowledge of advancements in metrology and 3D scanning technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new scanning methodologies or technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in dimensional inspection, metrology, and the utilization of 3D scanners.
• Proficient in using measurement tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in quality control and product documentation.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and CAD models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
