Job Description
As a Senior Accountant at Protomont Technologies LLP, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and ensuring the organization's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee the general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Review and approve accounting entries and journal vouchers.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse budget performance, providing insights to management regarding financial variances and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws, including the preparation and submission of tax returns (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate with auditors for the annual audit process and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Advise senior management on financial strategy, including investments, cost management, and growth initiatives.
- Support decision-making with detailed financial analysis and projections.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure alignment and efficiency across departments.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualified certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance in a senior role, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and handling audits.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Solid leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
