Job Description

As a Market Segment Manager at Nouryon, your role involves managing the Paints, coatings & construction specialties market segments in the India Sub-Continent region. You will be responsible for learning about Paints, Coatings, and Construction Additives for various applications such as paint, building, and construction. Your key responsibilities include: - Performing business development activities within the defined territory, in addition to sales activities agreed upon by line management and product management. - Delivering sales results/targets according to budget and providing excellent service to both direct customers and distributors. - Collaborating effectively within a matrix organization and maintaining an efficient CRM system to track customers and contacts. - Assisting in creating a sales budget for the assigned region in collaboration with the line manager. - Discussing price lists and policies with the Regional Manager to create quotations and negotiate with customers. - Coordinating with existing customers for sales activities and developing market intelligence for new customer contacts. - Facilitating and coordinating contacts between R&D, application resources, and customers. - Traveling regularly to customer sites, with a willingness to travel at least 60% of the time. - Representing Nouryon to customers in the field, understanding their needs, and coordinating internally to fulfill them. - Managing and developing distributors under Nouryon rules to provide high-quality products and services to end-customers, ensuring healthy market competition. In terms of qualifications and experience, we are looking for candidates who possess a minimum of B. Tech. in Chemical/Polymer Technology/Engineering, B.Sc., M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, or B. Post-graduation in Sales and Marketing Management. You should have extensive knowledge and experience (12 years) in all aspects of paints, coatings, construction chemicals, etc., with hands-on experience in these applications preferred. Additionally, you should have the ability to coordinate internal interfaces between Customer Service, Technical Service, and the regional/global Sales and Marketing Team. Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, leveraging internal and external relationships at these accounts is also crucial for this role.
