Accessibility Lead (Frontend)

You are being hired for the role of Accessibility Lead with 4+ years of experience in Pune. As an Accessibility Developer Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of accessible web applications. Your role will involve utilizing your hands-on development skills, deep knowledge of accessibility standards, and mentoring capabilities to ensure the delivery of inclusive digital experiences. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of Accessibility Developers and implement best practices Design and develop accessible UI components for web applications Ensure adherence to WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 standards Implement and validate ARIA roles, states, and properties Review code for accessibility compliance and semantic correctness Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure accessible designs Support accessibility testing and audits with QA teams Assist developers in rectifying accessibility defects Conduct accessibility reviews, training, and knowledge sessions Engage in client discussions and accessibility assessments Required Skills & Qualifications: 48 years of experience in Frontend / Accessibility Development 1+ years of experience in a Team Lead role Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Expertise in WCAG guidelines and ARIA Familiarity with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS Experience in building accessible components using React / Angular / Vue Understanding of cross-browser and assistive technology behavior Strong communication and mentoring abilities Good to Have: Familiarity with accessibility automation tools like axe-core, Lighthouse Knowledge of mobile accessibility on iOS / Android platforms Accessibility certifications such as IAAP CPACC / WAS Previous experience working with design systems You are being hired for the role of Accessibility Lead with 4+ years of experience in Pune.
