Job Description
As a Curriculum Coordinator, your role will involve the following responsibilities:
- **Curriculum Coherence**:
- Ensure that the curriculum is aligned with educational standards and current industry practices, especially in Computer Science and related subjects.
- Regularly review and update the curriculum to maintain its relevance and effectiveness in a dynamic educational landscape.
- **Instructional Effectiveness**:
- Assess and enhance the instructional quality and student performance across various subjects, including coding and tech-based courses.
- Implement strategies to improve teaching methodologies and student engagement.
- **Faculty Mentorship and Guidance**:
- Provide mentorship and instructional guidance to faculty members, helping them implement effective teaching techniques and strategies.
- Foster a collaborative teaching environment and encourage continuous professional development.
- **Professional Development**:
- Coordinate and organize workshops, training sessions, and seminars for teachers to improve their pedagogical skills and content delivery.
- Offer ongoing support to faculty in the integration of new technologies and educational methodologies into the curriculum.
- **Student Achievement Support**:
- Supervise academic counseling and support programs aimed at enhancing student performance and achievement.
- Identify students who may need additional support and coordinate with the faculty to provide timely intervention.
- **Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with department heads, administrators, and external stakeholders to enrich academic offerings and ensure consistency across all educational levels.
- Work closely with external partners to develop and implement industry-relevant projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science/Information Technology).
- **Experience**:
- Experience teaching K-12 students (optional, but preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teachers and staff.
- **Personal Attributes**:
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth in both teaching and content creation.
