Job Description
You will be responsible for creating precise models of customer products within the agreed time frame, based on technical drawings or the actual products. Your role will also include creating photo-realistic renders, optimizing digital files before sending them to the client for review, and accentuating the form of products using lights and shadows. You should have a strong understanding of UV sets and maps and be able to follow 2D & 3D CGI workflows & processes. Additionally, re-topologizing raw 3D models, creating materials and textures, and setting up lights to produce photorealistic or stylized materials / shaders will be part of your daily tasks. You will provide technical assistance to the team when needed and serve as the team's Creative QC.
Your supporting tasks will involve attending client meetings, calibration meetings, and briefings if needed. You will also complete any adhoc tasks assigned by the 3D Lead and follow company protocols regarding job delivery and completion through MySGS. You may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.
In terms of performance management, you will be evaluated based on on-time delivery, Right-The-First-Time (RTFT) rate, and your ability to render a model as per client needs. Your utilization or productive hours should be a minimum of 85% on average.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create precise models of customer products based on technical drawings or actual products

- Follow 2D & 3D CGI workflows & processes
- Re-topologize raw 3D models
- Create materials, textures, and set up lights for photorealistic or stylized materials / shaders
- Provide technical assistance and serve as the team's Creative QC
**Qualifications Required:**
- High proficiency in Blender, with Autodesk Maya as a secondary skill
- Extensive knowledge of V-Ray lights and materials/shader
- Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 or above
- Demonstrated competence in 3D forms, from mechanical design to organic objects
- Understanding of colours, lights, shades, and 3D production pipeline
- Attention to detail in organic and mechanical surfaces
- Knowledge of how well-modeled objects react to light and reflection
- Fluency in other lighting software and processes
- Texture painting ability and solid art background are a plus
- Beneficial knowledge in Esko, ArtiosCAD, XML file formats, Sculpting, and 3DS Max.
